New Dashboards with Exquisite Japanese Cherry Veneer

In response to a customer's need to replace their damaged dashboards aboard their luxury performance motor yacht, we thoroughly examined various timber options. Ultimately, the client opted for exquisite Japanese Cherry veneer. The veneer is carefully bonded to a moisture-resistant core and features a backing veneer on the inner side to prevent distortion. Both panels are flawlessly finished with a high gloss marine varnish.

About the timber

Prunus serrulata, commonly known as Japanese Cherry, is a species of cherry tree naturally found in Japan, China, and Korea. It is also used to describe a cultivar derived from Prunus speciosa (Oshima cherry), an indigenous cherry tree in Japan.
